Hartshorn House - Health & Wellbeing Centre

Conveniently located in Maesteg town centre, Hartshorn House is a multi-agency base which has been developed to house health and wellbeing services for the Maesteg community and surrounding areas.


Substance Misuse & Alcohol Forum

The Substance Misuse & Alcohol Forum, SMAF, is a young peoples led forum which aims to promote and inform other young people in Bridgend County Borough of the adverse effects of binge drinking and substance misuse.


Tidy Towns

Tidy Towns is a two part initiative between Keep Wales Tidy and Welsh Local Authorities, funded by the Welsh Assembly Government. The project seeks to work strategically by empowering the people of Wales to take responsibility for their local environment.

There has been a recent spate of dwelling burglaries in the borough where burglars are breaking into houses, taking the car keys and stealing the car and other posessions.

Home Fire Safety Checks

South Wales Fire and Rescue Services carries out approximately 6000 Home Fire Safety Checks and fit approximately 12000 smoke alarms in homes throughout the area each year.
